After the overwhelming response we received in regards to our special Japanese guest DJs last year, we’ve decided to not only invite them back but invite some of their friends to put on what may possibly be the first and only Hardcore themed party at any anime con, officially being dubbed “HARDCORE SYNERGY”. Some of Japan’s most well known hardcore producers, along with some collaborators from the UK and US are going to running the entire spectrum of hardcore electronic music all Friday night. Many of the DJs playing will be immediately recognizable from their tracks in Konami’s widely popular Bemani games, and they all have some surprises up their sleeves to please their existing fans along with their new ones. So come check us all out for a night of explosively high energy hardcore music from all over the world.

What's even better than getting to meet such inspirational artists & people who I have been dying to meet for awhile including JAKAZiD, Guhroovy, and NO+CHIN, but for actually wanting to go see these artists live even though it's not my thing to do.

Won't be able to make it, but perhaps if a DVD of the set were made.....just throwing some hints out there

One week away!

Chucky and M-project have both dubbed this a J-CORE祭, so here's wishing that you guys that make it to ACen have a really really good time at the event itself.

I'm excited, this should be sweet. I'll be bringing a couple of CDs for autographs, haha

Acen is less than a week away now, and just so everyone is prepared we're gonna let you know the schedule for our events over the weekend now, as well as a few requests from ourselves and our guests.

Friday [12:00pm-6:00pm] mydjsobad.com booth opens
This is when we officially open up shop for the weekend. We'll be giving away the NO+CHIN PROMO MIX 2008 CD starting at this time as well as selling all of the new and exclusive ACen merchandise we have lined up. We'll be located IN the car show area in the exhibition hall, adjacent to the dealer's hall, but not actually in it. We'll have DistorteD CS and DDR SuperNOVA 2 CS set up to play for those of you who want to come and just hang out.

Friday [9:00pm-??] HARDCORE SYNERGY
Explanation for the event at this point should be entirely unnecessary. Doors open at 9;00pm but if last year's turnout for the Soap Bubble is any indication, lines will likely be long. Plan to be there early if you want to get in for sure. This is located in the Hotel Sofitel which is across N. River Road from the Donald E. Stephen's Convention center.

Saturday [2:30-4:30pm] Artists signing/Meet & Greet
Located at the mydjsobad booth. This is happening because the artists have requested that we let everyone know that they DO NOT want to be bothered for autographs and pictures all weekend. We've set this time aside for everyone to meet at the booth and get a chance to meet them all and get stuff autographed. We will let it run a bit longer if the turnout requires it. I just want to reiterate:

PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER THE GUESTS FOR AUTOGRAPHS BEFORE THIS TIME
They'll be hanging out all over the convention center before this time, but please respect their wishes. You're more than welcome to go up and say hi and whatnot, but they really just want to have a good time and take the convention itself in as much as everyone else there does.

Saturday [8:00pm-9:30pm] Bemani panel
I don't really want to call this the bemanistyle panel as we've decided that it's really gonna act more as an excuse for as many people in the community as possible to get together in one room and just dick around on the convention's time. We don't have anything planned in particular so feel free to show up and leave as you please. We're still unsure of the location, but it will be announced and promoted prior to it happening.

That's basically all we have going on specifically. If I can get a schedule from the game room for the tournaments, I'll update this post and add them for everyone who's interested. We can't wait to see everyone there!

Only 4 days away

We're almost there baby.

Updating this beautiful topic and safe to say that only 2 more days! I'll be driving from Boston to Illinois tomorrow, so I hope I'm not terribly tired, although I might be..

I'm soooo freaking excited

Due to shitty flight times, I've been having a one-man slumber party at Heathrow Airport tonight!

It's only one day away! I can't wait for a 5 hour-long drive XD

How was it?

It was soooo cool seeing so many people there. What sucked is that the staff kicked us out at 3, though. I must say I enjoyed Chucky's set the most It was a lot of fun. All of the DJs were great. Poor Jakazid didn't get to go up though, since they ended it early.

I'm drained from driving home today; might post later about it.
